Self Portrait VS Selfies

What is a selfie?
A selfie is a photo you take of yourself via hand or selfie-stick.

What is a self-portrait?
A self-portrait is a photo that is taken of you to say something about yourself.

Is there a difference? If so, what?
Yes. A selfie is focused on your face and the filter/make-up/expression on it while a self-portrait focuses on you and saying something about yourself, like how you like to listen to music.

What style do you prefer? Why?
I prefer the selfie's playful style but I also prefer how the portrait takes a photo of you as a whole.

Is one more valuable/important than the other? Why?
No, I think they both should be fun and express how you like to show your beauty.
