Portfolio

First

a. Name of photographer - Alyssa Schukar

b. General focus of portfolio (photoj, sports, stories, etc.)- A bulimia story, or the dark side of the story that you don’t see.

c. List three problems that the judges noted with the portfolio -

They can’t feel the love or pain behind it, too far away same sense and same feel.

d. List two things the judges like- The lighting of the shot and the downer tone.

e. What is your overall impression of the photographer? What did you like or not like?

The overall impression feels like she wants it to have a meloncoly feel to it. I liked the lighting on the lap dance and boys on the stairway shot.

Second

a. Name of photographer - Travis Haughton

b. General focus of portfolio (photoj, sports, stories, etc.)- Story of a deaf child and sports.

c. List three problems that the judges noted with the portfolio - The photos don’t make sense, too tight of a frame, no message in the photo, quality is bad.

d. List two things the judges like-

Some photos look genuine, some had a weirdness that was unique.

e. What is your overall impression of the photographer? What did you like or not like?

Optimism, fun moments, genuine thinking moments.

Third

a. Name of photographer - Nick Adams

b. General focus of portfolio (photoj, sports, stories, etc.)- 

c. List three problems that the judges noted with the portfolio - Out of focus, not original ideas, most of it is boring, not good framing. 

d. List two things the judges like- How the photographer included someone with odd looks to him and how the picture was interactive with their surroundings.

e. What is your overall impression of the photographer? What did you like or not like?

I didn’t like how there was too much failed attempts and effort in this portfolio. It could have been cleaner and it was just lazy.

Fourth

a. Name of photographer -  Jordan Murph

b. General focus of portfolio (photoj, sports, stories, etc.)-

Sports

c. List three problems that the judges noted with the portfolio - Sometimes the focus is difficult to see, some photos miss something, the details are not enough to understand the meaning, the poses looked faked at times.

d. List two things the judges like- The shadows and color in the photo was good and angled just right.

e. What is your overall impression of the photographer? What did you like or not like?

They have an amazing future for them in photography and I love how amazing the lighting and balance is in these photos in his sports shot.
